Well after nigh on 5 years sitting on my arse wishing I had the technology to complete it, 'The Brain' is cut. Final cut locked, you might say if you were in the biz. All to do now is strip it of sound. Re-dub the entire thing. Re-Foley it and give it a soundtrack. Which is all new and fun sounding to me.
It's a pity we have to do all this stuff to it but the sound is atrocious in most of it and you can barely make out Rob's beautifully, lyrical script like "Now lay back and gimme some..ugh I mean, give yourself a break!" Beautiful.
On the way out to Luke's yesterday to edit, a lady had a seizure on the train. What a terrifying thing to happen to anyone. Two young foreign lads called out for a doctor and only two people responded. We were on the train to Dun Laoighre fer chrissakes. It's one of the rich area's of Dublin. The train should have been crawling with doctors. Anyways she was fine by the time the paramedics came but she refused to leave the train with them to get checked out. Silly lady. Still, she seemed recovered when she left the train at the next stop.

You must keep in the inexplicable clown nose honking noise at that bit though. even if its dubbed, it has to remain

I shall be keeping the sound design as close to the original as I can. Just clean up the dialogue.
